光突发交换(OBS)[1]因其兼有ip over WDM电路交换和光分组交换的优点而引人注目.在OBS技术中,突发数据的传输是通过它相应的控制分组预留的资源完成的,突发数据分组在中间节点直通,无需存储.相对于光电路交换,OBS可获得更好的带宽利用率,因为它允许每一个波长的突发数据流之间统计复用,不需占用几个波长.另外,由于偏置时间远小于波长路由中的波长通道建立时间,所以突发分组的端到端(ETE)延时相对较小.
