A NEW TWO TERMINAL FAULT LOCATION ALGORITHM BASED ON GPS

ABSTRACT: In recent years the research on two terminal fault location algorithms became the major research emphasis home and abroad. The PRoblem that the influence of variations in length and parameters of transmission line on fault location accuracy is still not well revealed, therefore how to dynamically correct the errors caused by the variation in length and parameters of transmission line is one of the urgent problems to be solved. According to the interrelationship between the parameters and length of the transmission line and their mapping a new parameter correcting method is proposed. The results of simulation show that the proposed method can effectively correct the errors caused by the length and parameter variations.
